It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are!

Sometimes you pass something and never fully pay attention to it. That is the case for this plaque, it sits at the front door of my house and until today I had never noticed it. However when I did it made me stop for a second and think how true it was.

I have always loved this song, it's a particular favorite of mine to sing in the shower.  Tonight when singing it in the shower, it suddenly dawned on me how this song is me and my life at the moment. A bit of a drifter trying to find my place in the world.

I have a bike!

In the UK I loved to cycle. Since I have been in New Zealand I have been meaning to buy a bike and did so last week for the bargain price of $50 wooo. Wellington beware Katie Briggs is on the road :)

Goodbyes are always strange.

Today I said goodbye to Pippa at work,

Starting to write this post got me thinking how many goodbyes I have said since leaving the UK in September 2011. When your traveling around. You meet amazing new people all the time and it is sad when you have to say goodbye. It is amazing to think how these people will affect our lives even in just a small way.
